Some of our regular athletes were on holiday or otherwise engaged for this competition, but we did have some new additions to the team which meant that we managed to cover nearly all of the events with an A string and a B string, we therefore gained lots of valuable points and finished the competition with a very credible 501 points, leaving us in first place.
Many of the athletes took part in events that they had never competed in before and some were very surprised at just how talented they are! These athletes were Elissa Clark the Shot, Ellie Burns the Discus and the 400m, Hannah Isherwood the Discus, Lauren Hawtin the Shot, Luisa Chantler the Javelin and 200m, Tilly Vaugan-Fowler the Triple Jump and Zoe Webber 80mH. Thank you very much girls.
There were some excellent result with 1st places going to Amy Busby in the 200m A, Becky Hill in 200m B, Kirsty Warland in the 100m A and the 100mH A, you fought off the competition well Kirsty! Melissa Hawtin in the 3000m A, Sarah Davies in the 3000m B, Tilly Vaughan-Fowler in the Triple Jump B and Zoe Webber in the 80mH B.
There were lots of PB’s Alice Hopkins 75mH B, Becky Hill 300mH A and 200m B, Bethany Hawtin High Jump B and 800m A, Beth Mulvany 800m B, Elissa Clark Javelin A, Hannah Isherwood 100m B, Rebecca Byren 800m A, Storm Sunderland Long Jump B and Tilly Vaughan-Fowler 80mH A.
