Sunday's championships have been psstponed due to adverse weather conditions a new date for the championships will appear here soon.

Oxfordshire Cross Country Championships

A decision will be made Friday afternoon as to whether the Oxfordshire Cross Country Championships will go ahead at Middleton Cheney, near Banbury, on Sunday.

Runners are encouraged to check www.oxonaa.org.uk for further updates.

Marvellous Melissa wins at Banbury

The very talented sixteen year old Melissa Hawtin won the women’s race in round three of the Oxford Mail Cross Country league on Sunday January 3rd 2010. Melissa led from start to finish, finishing 48 seconds in front of Jenny Manners from Cirencester.

Cross Country training Christmas

Magnificent Male steals the show at Culham.

Steve Male won the mens Oxford Mail X/C competition held at Culham on Sunday by ten seconds from team mate Darrell Bellinger, Aaron Burgess 13th Brian Green 22nd, Vasily Zverev 33rd Phillip Huxley 52nd & Trevor Dixon 68th made up the winning team who finished seventy points in front of Swindon Harriers.

Martha Lloyd returned to racing after a long lay off to finish a very creditable 15th in the ladies race, Gwyneth Hueter 34th, Caroline Winton 80th, Lisa Sammons 81st & Christine Marshall 92nd.

Melissa returns to form.

Melissa Hawtin finished in second place Junior/U17 ladies in round three of the Chiltern League held at Slough on Saturday beaten to the finish by Emily Wallbank of Bedford & County.
The U15 girls tied with Bracknell for first place in the team competition with Lauren Hawtin bring the team home in 4th, Imogen Kempton 9th, Rebecca Byren 12th & Elissa Clarke 16th.
Beth Hawtin equalled big sisters second place finish in the U13 girls race with the ever improving Storm Sunderland finishing 4th, Beth Mulvany 34th.

Oxford Mail Cross Country Culham Sunday 6th December

Hannah England wins Oxfordshire Sportswomen of the year.

Oxford City Hannah England was presented with the Oxfordshire's Sports women of the year award at the Kassam stadium on Friday night.England saw off Alice Powell (motor racing) and Imogen West (swimming) for the main women's honour.

England added: “It's a great honour to win this.

“I'm in an extremely competitive sport, but just hope I can continue to progress and realise my ambitions.”
