Medals galore for OCAC at final Oxford Mail match of the season.

OCAC hosted the last round of the Oxford Mail XC league at Shotover on Sunday 7th March 2010 and we would like to thank all those who helped make it a very sucessful day, the parents, the marshals, the catering staff the officals the Oxford Mail,  BMW (parking), OCC, the league organisers and last but not least the runners.

OCAC rested some of the youngsters for this match with the Inter Counties next weekend in Birmingham but still managed to gain some very good performances.

Darrell Bellinger was just pipped on the run in by Paul Fernandez of Abingdon but won the coveted overall senior mens title, Steve Male finished fourth & won the vet 40 title Phillip Huxley won the overal vet 50 silver medal & Roy Treadwell won the vet 60 overall title. The senior men won the overall division one team title.

U20 Martha Lloyd lead the senior women home in 9th position hot on her heels was Sarah Davies in 11th and Lizzie Berg in 22nd. Martha won the overall U20 bronze medal.
Georgina Moss finished 4th in the U11 girls race with Ciara Huxley 6th Ciara won the overall Bronze. Freddie Sunderland finished 9th and George King-Thompson 11th in the u11 boys.

In the U13 girls Storm Sunderland was 3rd, Elisha Evans 5th and Beth Mulvany 8th the girls won the overall team title by 43 points from second place Swindon Harriers. With Beth Hawtin sharing the Individual Gold with Megan Humphries Radley AC & Storm Sunderland winning the individual Bronze medal.
 U13 boys Nat Jones fines 3rd & George Henry 5th and overall the boys finished in Bronze medal position, and Nat Jones took individual Bronze.
In the U15 / U17 girls race Jade Walker finished 3rd with Rebecca Byren 4th and Ellie Burns 6th, the girls won the overall team Gold by a massive 139 points. Lauren Hawtin won U15 girls individual gold and Jade Walker won U17W individual Gold & Ellie Burns Bronze.
In the U15/17M competition Matthieu Marshall lead the boys home in 5th followed by Ben Upjohn in 7th and Ryan Meridith in 10th.Matthieu took overall individual U15 Silver and the team took the overall team SIlver behind Radley AC.
