Hawtins hit new heights at Parliament Hill Fields , Hamstead South of England Cross Country Championships
All 3 Hawtin sisters left the home of cross country 'Parliament Hill', with fantastic podium finishes.
Competing against the best runners in the South of England, Beth was first off and battled to an excellent 3rd place, finishing just 4 secs behind winner Becca Croft of WSEH. Storm Sunderland was next home in 53rd position, and with Elisha Evans 69th, Beth Mulvany 122nd & Mya Walker 147th the U13's finished a respectable 9th in the team standings.
Next up we saw the team performance of the day with Lauren Hawtin 5th, Imogen Kempton 21st, Rebecca Byren 43rd & Elissa Clark 54th the U15 girls team grabbed a very unexpected Bronze. To prove the point only 2 of the 4 girls actually made it to the podium in time for the presentation............
The pressure was now on eldest sister Melissa to deliver the goods and she didn't disappoint. Leaving 3 of last weeks England internationals (Wallbank,Haynes & Courtney) in her wake she raced to Bronze medal position. Jade Walker returned to form finishing in 33rd and Ellie Burns 47th in a competitive U17 Women's race.
osh Tack and Matthieu Marshall renewed their rivalry in the U15 boys race with Josh edging it this time around. He came in 51st, Matthieu 60th and an excellent run from Ben Upjohn just 7 secs further back in 70th position.
In the U17 men's race James Cody couldn't repeat his feat of the previous week and the ever improving Ryan Meredith beat him home in 111th position - James finishing 132th.
