Hussey & Warland lead Ladies to victory in Southern Womens League

Oxford City ladies won their opening match of the SWL Division 1 West held at Horspath on Saturday 24th April.
The ladies finished eight points in front of their closest rivals  North Devon AC.
The ladies were led by the five star performances from Rebecca Hussey & Kirsty Warland, Rebecca won the 100m in  13.0 & the 400m in 61.2 Kirsty matched Rebecca point for point taking the 100 mH in 16.5 & the 200m in 27.6.
Emily Moore finished second in the B string 100m in 13.7 & third in the A string LJ 5.15m. Tilly Vaughan-Fowler finished second in the A pole vault 1.40m & first in the B string 80mH the A string was one by Emily Carstairs in 13.8.
Sarah Davies finished second in the A string 3000m & Jade Walker took the B string in 11:28.0.

In the Junior events Amy Busby finished second in the A string 100m & 200m, Maike Chapel was second in the high jump 1.45m with Jess Daniels finishing first in the B string 1.40m.

With the Hawtin sisters to return from the Mini Marathon & Danielle Anderson to return from injury the ladies look well set for a good season
