Dear Club Evidence Checkers & Welfare Officers,
Please refer to the information below and kindly replace any old CRB Guidance with the new form attached as soon as possible. Please circulate to all necessary personnel within your club The guidance below was placed on the UKA, EA and Welsh Athletics websites respectively on the 23rd June 2010.
Changes to the Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) application form
In the lead up to the implementation of the Independent Safeguarding Authority vetting and barring scheme the CRB needed to change their application form. This update has been several years in coming. Despite parts of the vetting and barring scheme being put on hold the CRB have decided to continue with the implementation of the new (purple) application form.
The 20th July 2010 is the last date that the CRB will receive applications on the current form.
If you are making an application by telephone or submitting a postal application you should do so in order that your application is with UKA Welfare no later than the 14th July 2010. This will allow us to submit your application before the deadline of the 20th July.
Guidance on the completion of the new application form will be issued by UKA shortly.
If you have any questions on the implementation of the new (purple) application please contact a member of the UKA Welfare team on 0161 223 4246.
